2006 Winter Edition

The final additional trucks for 2006 arrived during this period and Kaiser Transport, Inc. had grown to forty-four trucks.  We had little trouble in finding qualified professional drivers to fill these additional trucks and with the planned growth in the support staff we have experienced few problems.

Kaiser Transport, Inc. is now positioned better to service our loyal customers and increase the level of transportation services to these customers with the additional trucks and drivers.  This growth is part of the long term goal of Kaiser Transport, Inc. and we will now start planning and preparing for the next phase of that plan.

The end of 2006 also was the setting for Kaiser's 11th Annual Christmas & Awards Banquet.  This was a weekend long affair that included the driver's training meeting, the manager's meeting, financial training for interested employees and the Highway Watch Training course for all employees.  Kaiser's Annual Award Banquet was a fabulous meal followed by the Awards Ceremony where employees were recognized for their accomplishments and received their annual bonuses.  Following the awards ceremony there was an evening of dancing and entertainment for everyone.

 Kaiser's Drivers Meeting  was a time to share information and ideas for the continued success of the company.

Immediately after the Banquet there was the Annual Awards Ceremony where employees received recognition for their accomplishments during the past year.  Todd Kaiser was the Master of Ceremony and personally made the presentation of awards and annual bonuses to each employee. 

 Another highlight of the evening was the promotion of John from Assistant Terminal Manager at the Orange, California terminal to the position of Manager.  John was given the symbolic "Key to the Terminal".  Congratulations John!

                                    
                                                                                           
      The group of Kaiser Drivers  pictured to the right were the eight drivers that received the 2006 Annual Driver Safety Award! Pictured left to right- rear row- Ken , Lonnie, Owner-Todd Kaiser, Tigger, Safety Administrator -Bob; (front Row) Joe, Terry, Denise, John and Billy.  This award recognizes these drivers for outstanding achievement in Safety for the entire year of 2006! Along with the wall plaque and cash award the driver's also received an engraved Kaiser Transport, Inc. Kel-Light Flashlight and a years supply of imprinted driver logs.  Congratulations to these drivers on their achievement.   

                                                         
        The excitement filled the air as the final award of the night approached.  The "Driver of the Year" Award that is the highest award  Kaiser Transport, Inc presents to a driver.  The 2006 Driver of the Year for Kaiser Transport, Inc. was Terry.   Terry was recognized for His Out-standing Performance in the areas of Safety, Customer Relations; Handling of Freight and Contributions to the Success of the Company.  Terry is definitely a Professional Over-The-Road Driver.  Terry received the Kaiser Traveling Trophy, an individual wall plaque, a cash award, an embroidered jacket and a standing ovation from his fellow drivers and employees.  Thank You Terry! Congratulations on the recognition!  

During the last months of 2006 Kaiser Transport, Inc. was fortunate to have the following drivers join our team of professional drivers as we completed this phase of our growing company:

       Ray came aboard on October 3rd   and quickly settled in to the Kaiser way of doing business.  He is touring in Truck 082. 

On the 16th of October Kaiser Transport, Inc. was excited to hire Burt.  Burt brought with him a lot of experience and knowledge and has made his new home in Truck #078.

Arley also started on October 16th and he brings with him the same level of professionalism, experience and knowledge as did Burt.  Arley will be at the wheel of Truck #087.
